1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using CV Mojo, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use CV Mojo. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information when registering. You must not share your account credentials or create multiple accounts to manipulate the platform. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to CV Mojo, including CVs, reviews, posts, and portfolio items. By uploading content, you grant CV Mojo a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, process, and analyse your content for the purpose of providing the service.
You must not upload content that is illegal, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, contains malware, infringes on intellectual property rights, or contains false or misleading information intended to deceive other users.
5. Reviews & Community Conduct
Reviews must be honest, constructive, and relevant to the CV being reviewed. You must not post abusive, discriminatory, or personally attacking reviews. You must not use multiple accounts to manipulate review scores. You must not offer to exchange positive reviews.
We reserve the right to remove reviews and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines. Reputation points and badges earned through violations may be revoked.
6. AI Features
CV Mojo provides AI-powered tools including CV analysis, cover letter generation, interview preparation, ATS checking, salary insights, LinkedIn optimisation, and bullet point rewriting. These features are provided as guidance only and should not be treated as professional career advice. AI outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before using it in job applications.
7. Free Uses & Payments
Free accounts receive a limited number of free uses of our tools. Once they are used up, further use requires a paid plan: the Job-ready pass (one payment for 7 or 30 days, which never renews) or Pro (a monthly subscription). We show the price before you pay, and we reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Payments are handled by Stripe.
Fair use. Paid plans give unlimited use of the tools, with fair use: up to 60 tool runs and 300 chat-style turns (such as interview practice) per account each day, UK time. Genuine use doesn’t come close; if an account reaches it, the tools pause until midnight and nothing is charged for that.
8. Your Right to Cancel
When you buy something online you have 14 days to change your mind. If you want to cancel a paid plan, contact us within 14 days of paying and we will refund you.
- Pro can be cancelled at any time in Settings. It runs to the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew after that.
- The Job-ready pass does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel.
- If something we supply is faulty, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
- After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion.
9. Anonymous CVs
CVs marked as anonymous will have personal identifiers redacted when viewed by other users. However, we cannot guarantee complete anonymity, as CV content itself may contain identifying details. You are responsible for reviewing your CV content before enabling anonymous mode.
10. Intellectual Property
The CV Mojo platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Max Thorley. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works of the platform without written permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
CV Mojo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any career outcomes resulting from use of the platform, accuracy of AI-generated content, reviews or feedback provided by other users, or loss of data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
