Cookies

• cvmojo_sid: keeps you signed in, and links you to the security token that protects our forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). The token itself stays on our server. Lasts 7 days, renewed each time you use the site while signed in.
• cvm_consent: remembers whether you said yes or no to analytics cookies (its value is "analytics" or "none"), so we don't ask on every page. Lasts 12 months, then we ask again.
• cvm_v2: only set if you choose to switch back to the older design of the site. Lasts 30 days.
• cvm_v3: only set if you choose to switch back to the previous design of the site. Lasts 30 days.

Storage in Your Browser

These stay on your device. They aren't sent to anyone else, and clearing your browser's data for this site removes them.

• cvm_claim: after a free CV check, holds a reference to your report so you can save it to an account once you sign up or log in. Removed once it's saved, and not used after 7 days.
• cvm_wizard_draft and cvm_cvchat_draft: your unfinished CV in the CV builder and the CV chat, so you don't lose your work if you close the page. Kept until you finish or start again (a CV builder draft is also dropped after 90 days).
• cvm_plan_intent: the plan you picked on the pricing page, so you can carry on to checkout after creating an account. Removed as soon as it's used.
• cvm_firstrun_skip (session storage): remembers that you skipped the welcome steps. Cleared when you close the tab.
• celebrated_score_ (followed by a number): remembers that we've already congratulated you on a CV score, so the message only shows once.
• cvmojo_jobs_state: the older version of the jobs page kept your last search here. The current jobs page deletes it.

Google Analytics

If you click Accept, we load Google Analytics 4 so we can see which pages help people and where they get stuck. If you click Reject, or don't choose, it doesn't load at all: no Google Analytics script, cookie or request.

What it collects: the pages you view and for how long, the website or link that brought you here, your device type, browser and screen size, and your rough location (country or town, worked out from your IP address; Google Analytics doesn't store the IP address itself). We also send a few events of our own: starting a free CV check, the check finishing (with a score band, never your CV), a check error, clicking to save a check, and creating an account. We never send your name, email address or CV content to Google.

What it doesn't do: we've switched off Google signals and ad personalisation, so this data isn't used for advertising.

• _ga: a random ID that tells one visitor apart from another. Lasts 12 months from your last visit.
• _ga_JLPCD654CG: keeps track of your current visit. Lasts 12 months from your last visit.

Google Analytics is provided by Google, which may process this data in the United States. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
